The camp exposes the campers to all aspects of a fire service career beginning with requirements. The program also empowers campers with life skills and professional guidance that encourages them to pursue a career in public safety. The camp is being held at the Richard Sewell Training Center in San Bernardino. \n \nThe free 2-day camp will feature hands-on stations for the campers to gain familiarity and experience with fire service functions. The activity stations will include but are not limited to: Ropes and Knots\, CPR/First Aid\, Ladder Climb\, Confidence Course\, and Hose Handling. Please register and plan on attending both consecutive days. We will be building on skills and evolutions from the first day to the second day. There will also be a short graduation ceremony where family can attend on the end of day 2 on October 1st at 5pm. Lunch will be provided both days.

DESCRIPTION:Click here for registration \nIf you are a professional individuals above the technical level of training who is interested in learning how to teach ethanol emergency response you may be interested in the Train the Trainer program we offer.﻿RFA\, TRANSCAER and FRA will be hosting a webinar training opportunities titled “Train the Trainer” to members and their emergency response teams. Professional hazmat trainer Joel Hendelman will teach individuals how to train others in ethanol emergency response tactics and procedures. \n“Train the Trainer” is a pay-it-forward type of program. A single webinar can train a group of individuals who can then turn around and pass that information forward\, equipping entire communities with the knowledge necessary to respond to any potential ethanol-related emergency. The webinar is open to all individuals interested in learning how to teach ethanol emergency response\, but will be tailored toward ethanol production facility employees\, ethanol safety professionals\, railroad safety professionals\, emergency responders\, firefighters\, police officers\, emergency management professionals\, etc. Certificates will be awarded at the completion of the training.
