SUMMARY:Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting
DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW \nThe Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting course provides the student the opportunity to learn the basics of fire dynamics\, chemistry and physics\, structural fire behavior\, structural fire attack tactics\, and providing the knowledge and the opportunity for demonstrating their skills in locating\, controlling\, and extinguishing an interior structure fire. This course also provides future instructors an opportunity for learning the knowledge and demonstrating the skills for instructing fire fighters in these same fireground skills. \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \nStudents will learn how to 1) locate the fire 2) control the fire and 3) extinguish an interior structure fire \nSTUDENT REQUIREMENTS \nClass size is limited to 25 students. Students must bring SCBA\, bottle\, full structure gear and proof of passing a fit test in the last year. \nEVENT TIME \n9/12-14 (1700-2000 each day) & 9/16-17th (0900-1700 each day)

SUMMARY:Ethanol Emergency Response – Train the Trainer Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Click here for registration \nIf you are a professional individuals above the technical level of training who is interested in learning how to teach ethanol emergency response you may be interested in the Train the Trainer program we offer.RFA\, TRANSCAER and FRA will be hosting a webinar training opportunities titled “Train the Trainer” to members and their emergency response teams. Professional hazmat trainer Joel Hendelman will teach individuals how to train others in ethanol emergency response tactics and procedures. \n“Train the Trainer” is a pay-it-forward type of program. A single webinar can train a group of individuals who can then turn around and pass that information forward\, equipping entire communities with the knowledge necessary to respond to any potential ethanol-related emergency. The webinar is open to all individuals interested in learning how to teach ethanol emergency response\, but will be tailored toward ethanol production facility employees\, ethanol safety professionals\, railroad safety professionals\, emergency responders\, firefighters\, police officers\, emergency management professionals\, etc. Certificates will be awarded at the completion of the training.
