DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW \nThe Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting course provides the student the opportunity to learn the basics of fire dynamics\, chemistry and physics\, structural fire behavior\, structural fire attack tactics\, and providing the knowledge and the opportunity for demonstrating their skills in locating\, controlling\, and extinguishing an interior structure fire. This course also provides future instructors an opportunity for learning the knowledge and demonstrating the skills for instructing fire fighters in these same fireground skills. \nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \nStudents will learn how to 1) locate the fire 2) control the fire and 3) extinguish an interior structure fire \nSTUDENT REQUIREMENTS \nClass size is limited to 25 students. Students must bring SCBA\, bottle\, full structure gear and proof of passing a fit test in the last year. \nEVENT TIME \n9/12-14 (1700-2000 each day) & 9/16-17th (0900-1700 each day)

DESCRIPTION:CSFA and Del Norte Fire Chiefs Association are offering no-cost live fire training in Smith River (Del Norte County) June 3 and 4. This training is offered for two days\, once on Saturday and a repeat on Sunday. Firefighters are welcome to do both days\, but it is not a two-day training. This is open to all firefighters in Del Norte and neighboring counties. The location is 301 N Fred Haight Dr Old Rays Building 301\, Smith River\, CA 95567. \n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\n\nThis training is offered twice\, once on Saturday and a repeat on Sunday. FF’s are welcome to do both days but it is not a two-day training. This is open to all firefighters in Del Norte and neighboring counties. \nEach student is responsible for their own complete PPE including SCBA and mask. \nLunch will be provided \nThe Kelseyville burn simulator is by FIREBLAST and provides state of the art technology with the ability to provide life-like training evolutions such as; a rollover prop\, forcible entry prop\, couch and stove prop\, wall breach\, cold smoke and black out drills. SUMMARY:Live fire training set for Chowchilla April 22 – 23
DESCRIPTION:CSFA and Chowchilla Fire Department (Madera County) will be hosting live fire training at the Chowchilla Fire Department (240 North 1 st Street\, Chowchilla) on Saturday\, April 22 and Sunday April 23. Training begins at 9 a.m. and wraps up at about 3 p.m. Lunch will be served. Students should bring their own personal protective equipment. Training is at no cost through a federal Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant\, but pre-registration is required. Call 559-665-8626 to register.
