    CSFA and Del Norte Fire Chiefs Association are offering no-cost live fire training in Smith River (Del Norte County) June 3 and 4. This training is offered for two days, once on Saturday and a repeat on Sunday. Firefighters are welcome to do both days, but it is not a two-day training. This is open to all firefighters in Del Norte and neighboring counties. The location is 301 N Fred Haight Dr Old Rays Building 301, Smith River, CA 95567.

  • Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting

    The Fire Control 3: Structural Firefighting course provides the student the opportunity to learn the basics of fire dynamics, chemistry and physics, structural fire behavior, structural fire attack tactics, and providing the knowledge and the opportunity for demonstrating their skills in locating, controlling, and extinguishing an interior structure fire. This course also provides future instructors an opportunity for learning the knowledge and demonstrating the skills for instructing fire fighters in these same fireground skills.

  • S-215: Fire Operations in the Wildland Urban Interface

    Williams Fire Department 810 E. Street, Williams, CA, United States

    This is an instructor-led course intended to be presented at the local level. Instructional units include firefighter safety in the interface, managing human factors in the interface, pre-incident planning, sizeup and initial strategy, structure triage, structure protection overview, tactics in the interface, tactical operations and resource use in the interface, action assessment, plan update, and after action review. Designed to assist any emergency responders who will be planning for and making operational decisions during an interface incident. This course is for personnel desiring to be qualified as Incident Commander Type 4 (ICT4), Task Force Leader (TFLD), or any Strike Team Leader.
