Manhattan Beach firefighters have a new employment contract — and union officials say they’re happier with it than they were with the last one.
The City Council this week unanimously approved a three-year labor agreement with the Manhattan Beach Firefighters’ Association that includes an incremental 10% cost-of-living salary increase, among other benefits.
The new contract, OK’d at the council’s Tuesday, June 20, meeting, will take effect on July 1 and end on June 30, 2026.
